Apartment:This lovely apartment is located in La Florida on the Orihuela Costa, 10 minutes south of Torrevieja town. Two bedroom ground floor with own garden, patio furniture on balcony and in garden. Both bedrooms come with lockers, lamps and built-in wardrobes. Kitchen is fully equipped. Bathroom with bath/shower toilet, wash hand basin, bidet and vanity mirror. Electric heater & stand alone fans provided. Very secure property with grills and shutters on all windows. Facilities: General: TV, satellite TV (English & Irish channels)/radio Standard: kettle, toaster, iron, cutlery, plug adaptors Utilities: washing machine, hob/oven, microwave, fridge, freezer Rooms: bedrooms (2), bathrooms (1), WCs (1), dining/loungeroom, kitchen and garden Furniture: doublebeds (1), single beds (2), lounge seating for 4, dining seating for 4, coffee table. Sleeps maximum of 4. Other: linen and towels provided; several easy-to-read maps of area to help you get around. Outdoors: garden, shared outdoor pool. Beaches: Of course you will want to spend some of your trip on the fantastic clean white sandy beaches of the Costa Blanca, which have been awarded the EC's 'Blue Flag' status so you can ensure safe bathing. The beaches include: La Zenia, Punta Prima and the lovely Playa Flamenca are within walking distance from the apartment. Playa los Locos, Playa del Cura, Playa Naufragos and Playa del Acequion are nearer Torrevieja and are still well worth a trip. Benidorm is an hour to the north. La Florida Entertainment/Services: The Emerald Isle Irish entertainment centre is within a 2 minute walk with two swimming pools surrounded by large grassed sunbathing areas. There are children's play areas with the ball park and bouncy castle available for a small cost. The restaurant and bar are open all day serving hot/cold food either inside or outdoors. There is nightly outdoor entertainment in the summer. There are daily activities such as aerobics Tai Chi classes, scuba diving lessons, bingo. 5 minutes walk from the renowned Irish pub the Abbey Tavern, which stays open until 4 in the morning with LIVE music most of the year and has nightly entertainment, beer garden, large plasma TV (showing ALL the big football matches), pool, darts, internet computers and children's play area. Other facilities in the La Florida commercial area - supermarket, bars, Chinese and other restaurants, ATM/bank, car hire, hairdressers. Nearby are supermarkets such as Lidl, Aldi, Supercor and Carrefour supermarket (Playa de Orihuela - smaller version of the hypermarket in Torrevieja.) There is a popular food/clothes/homewares market on every Saturday morning in a wide road in nearby Playa Flamenca - within walking distance. Nearby Torrevieja: Torrevieja has many boutiques and a new Habernas shopping centre with H&M, C&A, Zara, Puma, etc. For the kids, there is McDonalds, Burger King, KFC or the ten pin bowling, amusement centre, sports centre with Olympic sized pool, etc. Climate: Very low annual rainfall with low humidity. With most days being sunny (320 per year!), and with an average temp of 18 degrees centigrade. Temperatures in July and August are typically 30°C. This makes this area perfect to get that tan and also has benefits for sufferers of rheumatism, arthritis and asthma. Getting around: A car is recommended to experience the best that this beautiful area has to offer and there is free parking on the quiet road outside the apartment. However, if you don't want to drive, there is a 2 hourly, day light hours local bus service between urbanisations and the beach. Only 1 euro per person getting on or off anywhere on the route. How to get here: Tha apartment is conveniently situated just 40 minutes south of Alicante airport and 25 minutes north of Murcia airport, both of which are serviced by all the budget airlines such as aer lingus, easy jet, Ryan Air and spanair. Collection from the airport can be arranged (for an extra charge - still much cheaper than taxi's though). Public transport: Regular coach service from Alicante to Playa Flamenca - for just 4.65 euro! Further details: MONTHLY RATE IS ONLY 500 EURO! Please note that rates are calculated on a weekly basis. 30% non-refundable deposit payable on booking is required to secure a reservation - balance is due 4 weeks before. For reservations within 4 weeks of the commencement of the arrival date the total rental cost is payable at time of booking. Please also note there is a 35 euro cleaning charge payable on arrival.
